Artistic Vision and Intent

CREATIVE PROCESS
AS QUIET EVOLUTION

The studio is a space where material and thought converge. Ideas unfold slowly, shaped by touch and observation. Each gesture is deliberate, allowing the work to emerge without haste. Silence and patience guide the practice, inviting subtle shifts and discoveries.

Flower Veronica’s work unfolds through quiet investigation, inviting reflection on form and materiality.

MATERIAL IN MOTION

The work unfolds through a dialogue between glass and other organic material exploration. Rooted in attentive research and shaped by sound, her practice navigates the boundaries of form and texture. Each piece reflects a quiet investigation into the physical and ephemeral, inviting reflection beyond the visible.

EXPLORING FORM THROUGH SUBTLE TRANSFORMATION

Creative Techniques and Process

Layering of Materials

Intersecting surfaces and textures build complexity, inviting close examination of material interplay.

Structural Basis

Lines are carefully composed to establish the framework that guides each creation’s development.

Sound as Creative Influence

Auditory elements inform the pace and rhythm, embedding an intangible dimension within the work.

Glass Shaping and Refinement

Glass is manipulated, capturing delicate forms that balance tension and fluidity.

Mycelium Notes

Mushrooms enter my work quietly.
Sometimes as form, sometimes as texture, sometimes only as a way of thinking.

I’m interested in how they grow slowly, collectively, often unseen and how they hold softness and structure at the same time.
These notes trace a few of the mushrooms that continue to appear in my studio life.

MUSHROOMS
AS MATERIAL & METAPHOR

LION’S MANE

Lion’s Mane feels internal.
Soft, layered, almost bodily.

Its form resists sharpness.

It grows outward rather than upward, folding into itself.
I return to it when thinking about memory, focus, and the surface of thought.

White. Cascading. Neither plant nor animal.

BUTTON MUSHROOM

The button mushroom is familiar enough to disappear.

Its simplicity interests me rounded, compact, complete.

It brings me back to repetition and the quiet weight of ordinary forms.

Small. Closed. Everyday.

BLACK FUNGUS

Black fungus holds shadow.

It expands and contracts, changing with its environment, never fixed.
I’m drawn to its restraint in how it exists without insisting on being seen.

In the work, it becomes contrast, depth, and pause.

Dark. Thin. Responsive.

PORTOBELLO

Portobello mushrooms feel grounded.

Wide caps, exposed interiors, visible structure.
They influence how I think about scale and openness about what is usually hidden becoming central.

Broad. Open. Architectural.

ENOKI

Enoki mushrooms suggest movement.

They grow together, long and delicate, reaching upward in clusters.
I think about connection here  how individual forms exist because of proximity.

In the work, this appears as line, rhythm, and grouping.

Thin. Repeating. Collective.

Shiitake

Shiitake mushrooms feel grounded.

Compact caps, layered surfaces, quiet density.

They influence how I think about endurance nourishment, which has developed over time, with strength held inward rather than shown.

In the work, this is evident in the form of weight, texture, and restraint.

Grounded. Resilient. Enduring.
